Since starting back in the summer of 2012 they've also managed to appear on television, released albums, performed loads of gigs ... and to beat them all - interview Brythonicana! As the month of August is ridiculous, it was very difficult to arrange a meeting with them face to face over a pint ne two to record. We therefore decided to meet at Church Festival Fest (iniog) / High Water Pengwern on the bank holiday Sunday to take pictures, nanamica then ... do the interview over email. Why not? ..... less typing! (... Ahem). Their performance in the Pengwern is extremely creepy, thinking that they were the first on. As the stage in marquee reach was sipping a variety of local beers in the sun outside, but listen carefully, and very generous nanamica approval ...
Gwilym: Over the last couple nanamica of years it is interested in old folk songs has grown enormously and this interest is starting to spread to our sisters too. Elan and Margaret with more interest in English nanamica or international bands like The Staves and First Aid Kit (other family bands!).
Margaret: It's hard to answer why the genre is so strong at the moment. May be more interested in mixing the old with the new. Revamping old traditions through the use of harmonies and melodies in a completely different way. People nanamica are not afraid to experiment.
Gwil: Yeah, I wonder if we have just released our second album: 'Life White' label on the Summit and has been very well received so far. It is really nice for me to have more than one vehicle to perform and release my music.
Elan: There are not very enthusiastic people out there which led the way in organizing festivals nanamica and gigs aballu, and ma hynnyn creates an brilliant young bands can begin to build confidence. As long as there are not people like that exist, the mayor is going to be a scene Cry Im thinking.
There is no image 'Feathered' about you (in a 'light' / 'Three blond' / 'sunny' attitude) ... and with Elan chief leisiydd, the Margaret and Gwil as if they 'spoke' well off each side. You think about the image? Ta let things happen organically?
Margaret: There's a couple of new songs in the pipeline. It's hard to find time to come together for more than half an hour to be marfer! Elan'll be moving nanamica to Aberystwyth in September to learn, nanamica to study and William, nanamica and me going back to university in Bristol soon, but this weekend then Gwydir Noise Festival in October.
