In my case, one of the main interests, semi-self-sufficient but not-so-practical-with-it, is knitting. Now, he alle knitting small enough to be practical hobby, but here I'm afraid that I'm a snob and only use the absolute Good shit. I feel, if I want to go to the trouble and spend weeks, if not months, creating a garment, a garment that I want to be more special - so anything that has not come straight from the sheep / goat / rabbit is fanio so ... In terms of functionality, as well as taking more time than buying zinzi from the high street, m and wool blincin expensive .... (For example)
I was knitting scarves and things fel'nny when I was little, but I started at seriously about four years ago, after finding books Debbie Stoller, Stitch 'n Bitch. The project's most so far is the sweater for myself (still have not ventured knitted garment to any other adult - case'd have to * really * appreciated) but by amla, I'm knitting bobble hats and clothing to our friends hath their babies.
